echoes of grace

1 Corinthians 16:14

Grace and peace be with you right now friend! When people think of you, what comes to mind? Maybe you’re known as the one who’s always five minutes late (but never without an latte in hand). Or maybe you’re the human version of Shazam, always ready with the perfect song for every moment.

But here’s the question that hits different: What if your legacy was more than just quirks and catchphrases? What if, long after you’ve posted your last Instagram story, people remembered you for something eternal—a life overflowing with love that pointed straight to Jesus?

the real impact of a legacy

Let’s be honest. Sometimes life feels like an endless cycle of to-do lists, errands, and wondering if our small acts of kindness really make a dent in the grand scheme of things. Maybe you’ve wondered:

  • Do my daily actions actually matter?

  • Can I leave a meaningful impact without a massive platform?

  • How can I show love when I sometimes struggle to even love myself?

The truth? You don’t need a stage to leave a big impact—just a heart aligned with God’s love. And love, when done right, is contagious.

the blueprint for a love-filled legacy

1 Corinthians 16:14 says it best:

🖤 “Do everything in love.”

Simple. Clear. Life-changing.

A Christ-centered legacy isn’t about being the loudest or the most followed—it’s about living a life where every interaction, decision, and act of service echoes His love.

how do you actually live a life of love?

Let’s take a look at three legends (in my opinion) who nailed it:

  • Ruth – A love that was loyal. Ruth stayed with Naomi, showing us that faithfulness and commitment can be one of the deepest expressions of love.

  • Paul – A love that was bold. Before Jesus got a hold of him, Paul (formerly Saul) was literally the opposite of love. But after his transformation, he dedicated his life to spreading the message of Christ’s love, even from a prison cell.

  • Jesus – The ultimate love that sacrifices. Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He became love in action. His legacy? Unmatched, eternal, and life-changing.

love that ripples

Think your daily kindness doesn’t matter? Think again. Small actions create waves.

Here are three simple ways to start your legacy of love today:

  1. Speak life – Words hold power. Tell someone you appreciate them. Send that encouraging text. Speak truth over your friends.

  2. Invest in someone – Love isn’t just about moments—it’s about mentorship. Pour into the next generation. Pray for them. Show up.

  3. Give generously – Not just money, but time, energy, and kindness. Love multiplies when given freely.

love well, live boldly

The greatest legacy you can leave is a life that reflects the heart of Jesus. Not just in the big, obvious ways—but in the small, everyday moments where love is a choice.

So, what will they remember about you? Your coffee order is cool, but a legacy of love? Now that’s eternal. Amen!

in harmony,

nancy
