speak life

Proverbs 18:21

Grace and peace be with you right now friend! Have you ever felt like a part of your life was just done—completely lifeless, beyond saving? Maybe it’s a dream that fizzled out, a relationship that feels distant, or a purpose you once carried so boldly but now seems out of reach.

Maybe you’ve prayed, God, what happened?

If that’s you, let me introduce you to one of the most powerful comeback stories in the Bible—the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37.

the valley of dry bones

Imagine standing in a valley filled with skeletons—nothing but dry, lifeless bones scattered everywhere. This is what the prophet Ezekiel saw when God led him to a vision of Israel’s spiritual condition. They had lost hope, lost their way, and felt completely cut off from life.

Then, God asked Ezekiel:

“Son of man, can these bones live?” – Ezekiel 37:3

That’s the question, isn’t it? When we’re standing in the middle of our broken dreams, failed attempts, and dried-up faith, we wonder: Can life really come back to this?

Ezekiel didn’t have an answer—so he put the question back in God’s hands:

"Sovereign Lord, you alone know."

And what did God say? "Prophesy to these bones."

Not "Wait and see what happens."
Not "Complain about how dead they are."
Not "Hope someone else will speak over them for you."

But prophesy. Speak life. Declare God’s power over what looks dead.

the power of your words: life or death

Let’s be real—our words shape the world around us. Proverbs 18:21 lays it out plainly:

"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

What you speak over your life, your future, your relationships—it matters.

Think about it:

  • Have you been saying, “I’ll never make it,” instead of “God is making a way for me”?

  • Have you been declaring, “I always mess things up,” instead of “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”?

  • Have you been accepting "This is just how it is" instead of proclaiming "With God, all things are possible"?

What if the breakthrough you’re waiting for is waiting on you to SPEAK LIFE?

over your dreams, relationships, + purpose

Too often, we bury things that God wants to breathe life back into.

  • Over Your Dreams:
Stop saying, "I missed my chance," and start declaring, "God’s plans for me are good, and He will complete what He started (Philippians 1:6)."

  • Over Your Relationships:
Instead of believing, "I’ll never have godly friends or a healthy relationship," declare, "God sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6)."

  • Over Your Purpose:
Quit whispering, "I’m not enough," and start shouting, "I am God’s masterpiece, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10)."

God has a resurrection plan for every dry place in your life. But here’s the catch—you have to prophesy.

prophesy over your life

Ezekiel didn’t see the bones move until he spoke. And when he did?

🔥 The bones rattled.
🔥 They came together.
🔥 Flesh formed.
🔥 But they were still lifeless... until the breath of God came.

The same is true for us. We can speak life all day long, but we also need God’s Spirit to breathe on our words. That’s when dead things start living again. Amen!

in harmony,

Pulse Check:

Write down an area in your life that feels “dry,” then pray over it using Ezekiel 37:5 —

"This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life."

God is not finished with your story. If He can bring bones back to life, He can do the same for your dreams, relationships, and purpose.
