forever found
John 3:16
Grace and peace be with you right now friend! We’ve all seen the rom-coms—the grand gestures, the perfect timing, the dramatic airport chase scene. We’ve dreamt of love letters that rival Pride and Prejudice and proposals that put The Bachelor finales to shame. And then… there’s reality. Valentine's Day often looks more like last-minute grocery store flowers, unresponsive text messages, and a mountain of unmet expectations.
But what if I told you that the greatest love story of all time didn’t need a perfect setting, grand gestures, or even reciprocation? That it was written in sacrifice, sealed in grace, and freely given?
The love story that rewrote history—one that has your name written in its pages.
a love so big, it rewrote eternity
We’ve all had moments where we wonder, "Am I really worthy of love?" Maybe you’ve been rejected, overlooked, or let down. Maybe you've looked at your reflection and thought, If people really knew me, they’d leave. But here’s the wildest truth: God knew every flaw, every failure, every fear you’d ever have—and still, He chose you.
This isn’t just any love. It’s:
Sacrificial Love – The kind that doesn’t just send roses but lays down everything, even life itself. Ever had someone love you at your absolute worst? Now, imagine someone seeing all your flaws, failures, and fears and saying, “I’ll take their place.” That’s Jesus. He didn’t just say He loved us—He proved it on the cross. That is the love that never leaves, never fails, and never gives up.
Unchanging Love – Not based on how "good" you are, but on who He is. Unlike human love, which can fade or fall apart, God’s love is forever (Jeremiah 31:3). You don’t have to perform, perfect, or pretend to keep it. He doesn’t ghost, unmatch, or change His mind. His love is the one constant in a world of inconsistencies.
Transformative Love – The kind that takes your brokenness and makes you whole. When you truly grasp God’s love, it changes you. It heals the wounds that human love couldn’t. It silences the lies that say you’re not enough. It turns your brokenness into beauty. You stop chasing love and start resting in it.
when you feel unworthy, remember this…
I used to think I had to earn God’s love—like if I prayed enough, served enough, or was holy enough, then maybe He’d love me more. But the moment that changed my life was when I realized I couldn’t work for something that was already mine.
One night, after feeling completely exhausted from trying to "be enough," I prayed, God, do You really love me? Like, even when I mess up? And I felt this overwhelming peace, almost as if He whispered, I’ve always loved you. I always will.
Maybe you need that reminder today. You don’t have to perform for this love. You just have to receive it.
the love letter that’s already written to you
If God were to write you a love letter today, it might sound something like this:
"My beloved, I have called you by name. You are mine. Before you took your first breath, I loved you. There is nothing that can separate you from My love—not your past, not your fears, not even your doubts. My love is yours, always and forever."
you are already loved
So leave this space knowing: You don’t have to earn this love. You don’t have to chase it. It’s already yours. Whether you feel it or not, whether you understand it fully or not, God’s love is the one thing that will never fail you.
Now, take a moment. Let that truth sink in. Amen!
in harmony,
nancy
