Matthew 17:20

Grace and peace be with you right now friend! In a world constantly pushing us to present our best selves, it can be easy to overlook the incredible power that lies within our faith, especially during times of struggle. As someone who has experienced both the highs and lows of life, I can attest that it’s in our most challenging moments that we discover our true strength through faith.

the hidden power within

Think of a seed buried deep in the soil. It seems insignificant and fragile, yet within it lies the potential to grow into a mighty tree. Similarly, our faith, though sometimes seemingly small, holds the power to transform our lives profoundly. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

embracing faith in adversity

When life feels overwhelming, it's our faith that gives us the strength to persevere. Take a moment to reflect on David facing Goliath. He wasn't the biggest or the strongest, but he had unshakeable faith in God. That faith was his true power. Like David, when we face our giants, our faith can transform our fear into courage.

Our journey of faith is not meant to be walked alone. The support and encouragement of a faith community can provide immense strength. Sharing our burdens and triumphs with others creates a powerful network of support. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Unleashing your inner strength begins with embracing your faith, especially in the face of adversity. It’s in those moments of challenge that you discover the true power of your faith. Step boldly into the world, confident that with faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains. Together, let’s make a difference, driven by the unshakeable power of faith. Amen!
