Ephesians 6:19-20
Grace and peace be with you right now friend! I’m so thrilled to connect with you today, about something that’s been on my heart—bold faith. In our fast-paced digital world, holding firm to our beliefs can feel like trying to stand still in a storm. But guess what? With God as our anchor, we can stay rooted, no matter how fierce the winds blow.
Firm Ground in a Shaky World
You know those moments when you’re scrolling through your feed, and suddenly you’re bombarded with everyone’s opinions and highlight reels? It’s like the digital world is shouting at us, trying to shake our foundation. But here’s the good news: God’s truth is unshakeable. Psalm 62:6 says, "He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken." Isn’t that comforting?
+ Root Yourself in His Word
The Bible is more than just a book; it’s our lifeline. When we immerse ourselves in scripture, we’re planting our roots deep in God’s truth. It helps us discern what’s real and what’s noise. Set aside time each day to dive into the Word. Let it fill your heart and mind, guiding you through the digital noise.
+ Embrace Your Tribe
We weren’t created to do life alone. Finding a community that shares your faith is like finding a treasure chest of encouragement. Whether it’s your local church, an online group, or a few close friends, surround yourself with people who lift you up and point you to Jesus. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us to not give up meeting together, but to encourage one another. Let’s be each other’s cheerleaders in faith!
+ Filter Your Feeds
We are called to be in the world but not of it (John 17:14-16). Engage with the culture around you, but do it thoughtfully and intentionally. Use your platform—whether it's social media, your job, or your everyday interactions—to share the love of Jesus. Be a light in the darkness, offering a different perspective that points people to Him.
Social media can inspire us, but it can also lead us into comparison and doubt. Be mindful of what you’re allowing into your heart and mind. Follow accounts that uplift you, unfollow those that drag you down, and fill your feed with reminders of God’s goodness and truth. Philippians 4:8 is a great guide: think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.
+ Share Your Light
Your story is powerful. Don’t be afraid to share your faith journey with others. Whether it’s through a heartfelt post, a simple verse, or sharing how God is working in your life, your light can shine brightly in the digital space. Matthew 5:14-16 encourages us to be the light of the world, to let our light shine before others. You never know who might be encouraged by your testimony!
Stay Connected Through Prayer
Prayer is our direct line to God. It’s our way of staying connected, no matter where we are or what we’re doing. Keep a prayerful heart, whether you’re posting, scrolling, or just going about your day. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 reminds us to pray continually. Make it a conversation with God throughout your day—He’s always listening.
Standing firm in our beliefs in the digital age can be challenging, but with God as our anchor, we can navigate the storm. Remember, His love is unchanging, His promises are true, and His presence is always near. Let’s root ourselves in His Word, surround ourselves with a loving community, filter out the noise, share our light, and stay connected through prayer.
Together, we can stand boldly in our faith, shining brightly in this digital world. Amen!
in harmony,
nancy
