renew
Romans 12:2
Grace and peace be with you right now friend! The change of seasons often feels like a signal—a nudge to pause, reflect, and look forward with anticipation. In our spiritual lives, this transition can be a call to renew ourselves and set powerful intentions for what’s to come. Whether you’re feeling the crisp air of fall or the fresh promise of spring, this season of renewal is an invitation to press reset in our faith, align with God’s purpose, and step boldly into the future He’s shaping for us.
embracing the renewal of heart + mind
The concept of renewal is woven throughout the Bible, reminding us that God is a God of newness—new mercies, new creations, and new hope. Romans 12:2 encourages us: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Renewal starts within. As we realign our hearts and minds with God’s truth, we shift from simply reacting to life to living intentionally in His love and wisdom.
But what does it mean to renew our minds? It’s choosing daily to let go of any distractions, doubts, or habits that hold us back from fully embracing God’s promises. Renewal is less about perfection and more about growth, allowing space for God to refine us, teach us, and lead us forward with purpose.
dreaming with God for the future
When it comes to setting intentions, think of it as a heart-to-heart conversation with God about where you want to go and who you want to become in Him. Goals in our spiritual walk aren’t just checklists; they’re reflections of God’s unique calling for us. As we dream with God, we get to see a vision of a life marked by purpose, hope, and bold faith.
Here are a few ways to get intentional about the season ahead:
Reflect on the Past Season: What were the highs, the lessons, the struggles? Ask God to reveal areas where you grew and places that need a little extra grace.
Seek Scripture for Your Season: Is there a verse that resonates with where you feel God is leading you? This can be your anchor, a reminder of His presence and promises as you step forward.
Create a Faith-Focused Vision: Whether it’s a journal entry, a vision board, or even a sticky note on your mirror, keep something visual that represents your intentions. Include words, scriptures, or even colors that feel like renewal.
Pray Bold Prayers: Sometimes, setting intentions means asking God to dream bigger than we ever could on our own. Pray for courage, faith, and vision beyond what feels comfortable. Remember, God can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Accountability with Grace: Share your intentions with someone who will encourage you and remind you of the journey. God places people in our lives for encouragement and support.
moving forward in faith
This season, let’s walk forward with excitement for what’s ahead. Renewal is not about a fresh coat of paint over old doubts or challenges. It’s an invitation to embrace transformation, to trust that God is working in ways we might not see yet, and to believe that every season has purpose.
As you set your intentions, may you be reminded that God is your ever-present help, guiding you with love and strengthening you in every step. This is your season to shine His light, embrace His love, and be renewed as you walk into the beautiful unknown.
Let’s enter this season not just with plans but with hearts fully open to where God leads, knowing He has good things in store. Amen!
in harmony,
nancy
Pulse Check:
Create a vision board with images, words, and colors that represent your season of renewal and post it somewhere visible. Then, once a week, walk through each image or word on the board and pray for God’s guidance and blessing over it. Keep a record of the ways you see Him working as a testimony of faith!
