Zechariah 4:10
Grace and peace be with you right now friend! So, here’s the thing: life is messy. Like, spaghetti-sauce-on-your-white-shirt kind of messy. And sometimes, we get this wild idea that we need to have everything perfectly together before we can do anything meaningful. Spoiler alert: God doesn’t need your life to look Instagram-worthy to use you. He’s not scrolling past your story because it’s “not aesthetic enough.”
God uses imperfection
You’ve heard it before—God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. Seriously, the Bible is full of people who had no clue what they were doing. Moses tried to talk his way out of leading the Israelites because he wasn’t great with words. David was a teenager when he went up against Goliath. And Peter? Oh, Peter. He denied Jesus three times and still became the rock on which the church was built. Talk about grace! Point is: Your journey, with all its quirks and question marks, matters to God. He sees you, loves you, and is ready to walk with you.
comparison is a trap
Let’s talk about the highlight reels we scroll through every day. Everyone’s life looks perfect on social media, but behind the filters and captions, they’re probably just as unsure as you are. God isn’t grading you on a curve. Your journey is uniquely yours, and that’s a beautiful thing.
Friend, your journey doesn’t have to be polished or perfect to matter. God loves the messy, in-progress version of you just as much as He loves the “finished” version. Start where you are. Trust me—He’s already there, ready to meet you. Amen!
in harmony,
nancy
Pulse Check:
Look around. What’s one thing you can do today to say “yes” to God? It doesn’t have to be huge—maybe it’s sending that encouraging text, opening your Bible for the first time in months, or just praying, “God, help me.” Don’t overthink it. Baby steps still count as steps.
